The Portapack uses USB-C for data and power, as stated in the product title and specifications. The mention of a MicroUSB cable in the description is a leftover from an older template and does not reflect the actual connector of this version. Hello, The Clifford Heath New Generation HackRF Portapack H4M R10C already includes a high-stability 0.5 ppm TCXO (Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator). You do not need to add an external TCXO for proper clock stability, as it is built into the board.

so now 2 jacks on the bottom soldered ? asking because on one pic there are 2 jacks and on some, where is fully assembeled, 2 jacks on the bottom are not soldered ?

Thank you for your question! You're absolutely right, in some of the pictures, the two SMA jacks on the bottom are shown soldered, while in others (fully assembled), they are not. This is because we offer both versions. Recently, several customers have specifically requested the version without the bottom jacks soldered, so we've started offering both options. You can now leave a note at checkout to let us know whether you prefer the jacks soldered or not soldered. If no preference is provided, a random version will be sent. I ordered the "Clifford Heath New Generation HackRF Portapack H4M R10C"
on December 22, 2025, and received it on January 2, 2026.
Very fast delivery. Very friendly and prompt customer support.
The device arrived well-packaged and safe.
Everything makes a very good impression.
Unfortunately, the antenna included in the bundle,
"No. 6 40MHz-6GHz telescopic antenna,"
doesn't quite meet expectations:
The antenna pictured can be angled and rotated 360 degrees.
With the supplied antenna, a 360-degree rotation isn't possible
because it's fixed in place.
You can only adjust the vertical angle;
horizontal rotation isn't possible.
This is a real shame, especially for the most versatile antenna.

If there would be an option w/o antennas, that would be my selection, as I have soooo many of them... On the other hand, LNA seems to be effective add-in.

Everybody, who orders this device knows, what it is good for... After having previous versions, incl. original GSG PortaPack, later some H2's now, I gave a try H4M R10C (Clifford Heath)... After two weeks of experience, I am happy with it. What else to say ?

However, we’ve since updated the product to a newer version that includes the jacks pre-soldered, and we’ve also updated the photos to reflect this change for full transparency.

Das Paket kam gut geschützt und mit allem Zubehör wie beschrieben an. Der Kundenservice war ebenfalls erstklassig. Ich wollte per Banküberweisung zahlen, und sie haben mir genau erklärt, wie ich das machen kann. Ich denke bereits darüber nach, noch weitere Produkte zu kaufen :)

It was easy to setup, I already had V2.1 installed, so I just went to https://hackrf.app/ and upgraded the firmware to V2.2

Time will tell, however as of now everything is working as expected. The mayhem firmware is already installed. I've used hackrf.app to modify my device and there were no issues with the firmware.

I received my HackRF Portapack today. Delivery took roughly 1 week, which I was happy with, I sort of expected it to take longer. It came really well packaged, with plenty of antennas etc, and the latest 2.1.0 firmware. I’ve spent the day playing on it, and it is so good. The quality feels really nice. I thoroughly recommend sdrstore, it was my first purchase, and I’ll definitely be buying more stuff as and when I need it.
